Eyewear/goggle clarification

There is a model of Bangerz goggles that are designed to fit over regular eyeglasses (“Bangerz OTG”). They are ONLY certified for use at the Youth level and NOT certified for use at the HS or College level of play (due to increased speed at which the ball moves during play).

The question of whether eyewear/headgear is legal is taken care of when we ask coaches if all of their teams’ equipment meets USL specifications and regulations, and they say yes.
However, please note: there are no current Over the Glasses type goggles approved for HS level+ play.

2019 Field Training Days Completed

89 Youth Officials (those in Highschool and/or under 18 yrs. old) and 33 Adult Officials completed their 2019 mandatory Field Training on 3/9-3/10 and 3/16-3/17.

Over 80% of Youth classroom clinic trainees followed through with this US Lacrosse mandated step for certification (required every year for all Junior officials). Did you know that not all Adult Officials are required to do field training annually? Some Level 2 or 3 officials may be awarded evaluations that last 2 years or 3 years in length, however, an annual Classroom Clinic is mandatory for everyone. Congratulations to all those who accomplished field training!

2019 Officials Agreement

All Officials must fill out the 2019 Officials Agreement Form to be eligible for games assignments.

2019 Classroom Clinics Completed!

Thank you to everyone who attended the “Snowzilla” Returning Officials’ Webinar or one of the 3 clinic make-up sessions (Spokane, Seattle, and Mercer Island) due to the snow, plus the classroom clinics in Tacoma and Bellevue that altogether trained over 165 people for 2019. Up, up, lacrosse!
